Can I ask what you use for it?

My DD has really tight Afro hair, it seems like it never grows because the curls are so tight and it knots really easy. I know I hurt her sometimes when I'm trying to comb it and have even had to cut knots out at times

I use soft and lovely shampoo, dry angling spray and oil moisturiser and always use a wide tooth comb.

She has to wear it up a lot as it gets so knotty otherwise but she's starting to get traction around the sides where it's being pulled!

Help!

Have you tried Wen? It didn't work for my hair, but lots of other people swear that it works wonders.

It's a lather-less shampoo/conditioner. It smells really good. I used the almond one, and the cucumber one, but didn't like either. Then again, I don't have super curly hair - it's very frizzy.

That's their website, but you could also just look up Wen Hair Care by Chaz Dean.

I use an olive oil shampoo on my son...it stings his eyes but I have to otherwise his hair is flat and gross. He doesn't have totally African American hair though...it is as rough as African American hair but the curls are loose.
