I've been getting nappies and wipes with the weekly shop since my 12 week scan And almost got everything for the nursery too!! My inner spending demon has been well and truly set free lol

Seems like a few of us that posted in here are due on the dawn of 2012 - I keep fantasizing that my baby will be the first one born in my town and there will be some sort of prize A sweet lil healthy baby is prize enough

Im due on NYE too and my gran made it into the local newspaper as she was one of the first babies born on new years day 73 years ago. Are you finding people are being positive or negative about being due on that date? Ive had a few people that have said "oh what a shame" or "thats bad timing".

I think its grrrrreat!! Crazy to think that last NYE i was partying away down Newcastle and this year im going to be giving birth haha!!!! Bit of a difference??

I agree BabyRopa - I think it is a fantastic due date. I haven't had anyone say it is a bad due date, although several people have told us that we should try to have the baby before the new year because we can get a tax deduction that way : O

Me too and I love having the nye date. I usually get really emotional that the year has ended but this year will be different! This will be so exciting!

Ooooh I agree with that too Lilmiss - the holidays were extremely depressing to me while I was TTC. But this year I'm going to be huge and excited - wee!

I keep thinking this about everything i change to each week,but then i think about how going by the size of my tummy it is actualy quite big. So an avocado might not seem big but if you havent got a really big bump yet it is actualy quite big! Not sure if that made sense lol..

For some reason the avocado was my milestone. "Just wait till I'm an avocado; that'll be cool!" And then I was one. And I realized when I clicked on this thread that it already happened two weeks ago! Time does fly.....

Hi everyone-I'm an avo too! Only realised when I posted a thread today! I'm just back from my midwife appointment where I heard the HB! Just amazing. Only wish my husband had been there to hear it too. He's going to come to the next one so he can hear it then. I'm due 30th Dec

This happened to me too last week! We didn't think the midwife would listen for the HB at 15+6, so OH didn't come to the appointment. He was gutted when I told him! He's coming to the next appointment too (2 September).

Love it - thanks for keeping us up-to-date kittykat! So where are you ladies at with other milestones? I've been feeling flutters for a while now and my bump seems pretty obvious to me, but no strangers have asked me when I'm due. I'm probably at the end of my run with my pre-pregnancy clothes...
