when i went to cosmetology school is about when we started trying for our 1st. and i was 25, i had a friend in school with me she was 19. but we were like best friends and she had no idea what wanting a baby was like. she was like stop taking all the meds and forget about it then it will happen. i'm like no....thats not how pcos works! she meant well but like your friend naive.
my MIL was constantly saying just adopt. I stopped talking to her for 6mo at one time bc i was so mad. liek i'm not ready to give up! and thank god i didn't!
i also came off my depression/anxiety meds to ttc. became very depressed right around the time we conceived. i'm starting to feel the same now......
its a damn rollercoaster that no one wants to fuckin ride! (excuse my language)

i had an hsg
was on metformin ER, clomid, baby aspirin, ovidrel shot, crinone, dexamethasone, and estradial. i didn't temp, i had lots of blood tests and ultrasounds to check for follicles and sizes.

When you get yhat bundle to hold at the end, yeah all the medication in the world is worth it. How are you? How has trying for 2 been different from 1?

So I purchased a ferning microscope on the 8th and started using it on the morning of the 9th even though it was day 38 in my cycle. I figured why not?

For the first 4 days I got nothing and then conveniently enough from the 13th to the 15th I got partial ferning, and today I got full ferning.

It's a little bit exciting (and just really cool to look at in my opinion) but I'm still not getting a positive OPK and I don't know if it's because of my PCOS or the ferning thing just doesn't work or what. I've been using them twice a day since I got the first partial ferning. I've only ever got a positive OPK once before even when I was using them regularly.

im not sure how reliable the ferning microscope is but maybe this is better that the OPK test. as your cycles are never consistant, you dont really know where you are along you cycle so the best is try now and keep track of the ferning

We aren't doing as much lab work. Doing femera 3-12 2 pills instead of clomid. And took out dexamethasone and crinone. So this Dr. Does it a bit different (we moved so changed drs)
Metformin ER, femera, menopur shot, Ovidrel shot, progesterone, and this round no estradiol bc my lining was perfect! And iui.
It's different in being sad that meds got me 1, but may not get me 2. I'll be 30 in septSept, so egg quality will start to go down. I constantly remind myself I'm lucky I have one, I'm also terrified of only having one.

I avctually think one is fine....but i like 2 or 3...i say one is fine because if you think about the cost of living and all that, sometimes one is good because you can afford to give that one everything of the best and nothing less and you wont ever feel you have to compromise because you have a bigger family to provide for. But then i feel more than one because i grew up with sisters and i cant imagine a childhood without them. So it just all comes down to you as to when you feel you done trying or whether you still have some fit in you and will make baby number 2. Any 30 isnt such a big deal, as i say that i realise im 27 and so freaked out for 30, many people have pregnancies after 30 and are fine. I hope with all you are taking that soon you get your BFP

The OPK's haven't been that reliable for me either so I'm willing to give anything cheap a shot

My friend actually has the same OBGYN and he recommended that she use one when she was having a similar issue. It turned out that she was ovulating but the LH surge just wasn't enough to be picked up as a positive on the OPK's so maybe seeing if there's a pattern might help.

well that seems to have helped your friend so hoping it can work for you. do you temp? maybe keep track of both the OPK and ferning so that you can spot similarities and differences and that way can get and idea of when you O. also will be handy for the doc to know when you go in to show him that this is what its picking up.
