i just come back from my booking in appointment which i was excited about. But have returned feeling confused and upset.

As some of u may no the FOB and i aren't together. he is a violent, drug abusing loser who i really believe has phsycotic issues.

Well because of this and my past history of depression (i've suffered on and of for 7 years) and the fact that wen i was younger i was a cocaine abuser (not for almost 2 years and have sorted myself out and work for the police now) I'm being referred to social services.

I really don't know what this is going to involve. In a way i'm scarred about it but i have nothing to hide and no concerns that my own personal behaviour is going to have a bad effect on my baby. But once social services are involved am i always going to have them on my back. On the other hand it may be a good thing if they can offer me extra support and maybe help with housing and things like that.

does any1 have any dealings with social services or have been in a similar situation.

any advise would be gladly welcomed.

thank u.

x

with everything youve said chick its probably more so you have support etc, they can help you with nursery places, furniture, housing, benefits etc to help you more, if they find your fine and really dont need the help and support they'll sign you off, thats what they did with my friend

Oh hon, I would be feeling as I sense you are. But you have had a re assuring reply there. Sounds like it is to support you. I am scared that my FOB is trying to get me to be considered a risk as a mother and therefore trying to get them involved at a later date. I am still struggling to know what I can do to prepare for it and scared that he will have un supervised access. Happy Beans - Do you know if yours is going to want access? Will you be going to CSA? I just don't know what to do for the best myself. If I knew my FOB would sign out of access for good then I would not go to him for support. Oh lots more stuff for PM I think!

They said the same to me at my booking apointment, although my situation was slightly different but because i had been in hospital in the past from selfharming and depression they said they would tell spcial services and a woman came to my house with an assement form thing she had to ask questions and fill out and she said everything was fine and she would close the case unless i felt i didnt want it to be.
Hope everything goes ok. x
