im confused

after my m/c 3weeks ago i went for my checkup and all clear but was the nurse said i have polycystic overies but she never says polycystic overies syndrome could i ask what is the diffrence ??
im not ovr weight and have regular monthy periods before my m/c i have not as yet had my first period sinve the m,/c

The diffference is the symptoms. 'Syndrome' is a word used to describe a collection of symptoms. If you have polycystic ovaries, and that's all. Then it's just PCO. If you have other symptoms like weight issues, acne, excess hair, ovulation problems, menstual problems... then you have the syndrome PCOS

Just to add, a blood test will show PCOS, the scan or lap will show the actual polycystic ovaries. You may not have the symptoms I listed, but your LH levels may be increased all the time, or you may be insulin resistant, in either case it would be classed as PCOS.
