I'm convinced it's all over

This is my third pregnancy after two consecutive missed miscarriages - the first discovered at my 12 week scan and my last discovered (6+1) at an 8 week scan.

My scan is on Monday at 9am and I have been having the most agonising wait since it was booked nearly 3 weeks ago.

Over the Easter holiday, I noticed what I would describe as pink/pale peach spotting. I also had an overwhelming feeling of not being pregnant anymore. It was awful and I just burst into tears.

I'm now feeling pretty dreadful and feel like it's just a matter of time before another heartbreaking scan. I don't think I'm strong enough to cope with this again.

My symptoms seem to come and go too and this is apparently normal. Maybe your first tri symptoms have run their course and you are about to start the glowing phase.

I hope all goes well with the scan and that you get through the next few days without too much anxiety.

Hi Lolly. I know exactly how you feel i had 4 consecutive m/c and each time i went for my scan i had the exact same dreaded feeling, its the most awful thing in the world .But on my last scan i went in with the same feeling and couldnt believe it when they told me that buddha was fine and her little heartbeat was visible ...I know its easy to say hun but try not to get yourself too worked up and i hope everything goes well for you . I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you xx

I can't even express how happy I am to hear that "feeling of dread" doesn't always equal "dreadful result"... I always think that the "feeling of dread" comes from knowing somewhere deep down that something is wrong! I'm glad it can just be the result of worrying instead!
