Update: Well baby has a lovely strong heartbeat so I am so very relieved. Baby was standing on his/her head lol. I have a little scan photo which basically just looks like a blob but is beautiful to me. I very nearly cried with relief and excitement when I was shown the heartbeat. The sonographer was lovely and she picked up the heartbeat straight away and showed both myself and hubby. I left the room and did a little dance hahaha. I did another outside the EPAU and then again before I got into the car.

Baby is measuring about 19mm and is between eight or nine weeks. So exciting.

I have to let my GP know and I'll be booked in for my 12 week scan in about four weeks time. Woohoo.

I'm so nervous. I'm trying to keep my excitement under control in case it's not good news. I'm cautiously optimistic though.

Last night I dreamt I had a miscarriage and I held my little foetus. It was strange. There was more to the dream but I don't remember it now. That's the first 'baby dream' I've had. Have any of you lovlies had baby dreams yet?

I really hope I come back with joyous news.

This is a pointless post but I've got a few minutes to spare before leaving the house and I'm driving myself potty just walking up and down like I'm stuck in an institution.

3 weeks ago to the day I had a scan and they put my dates back about a week to five instead of six weeks so today I should be between 8 and 9 weeks today. Last time all we saw was a sac. I hope today I see a nice healthy heartbeat.

See you sooooooon. :)

good luck hun, update as soon as you can xxx

Really pleased for you. It's such a relief isn't it?

Other people get excited about their scans. For me it's a nerve racking experience and my main concenr is that there is a heart beat. I've lost count of the number of times people ask me if I'm going to find out what sex the baby is and whether I'd like a boy or girl. I find it annoying as they are so out of touch with how we feel.

The sex of our baby is the last thing on our mind. What we are praying for is for our baby to be healthy and every scan and thought is about this.
