Hi everyone just thought I'd introduce myself ... my name is katie and I have been engaged for 7 years this coming boxing day - we have been ttc for the past 5 years now. I have two children from a previous relationship aged 12 and 11, both me and my fiance have had check ups and mine came back all normal but my fiance has a low sperm count. Hoping to find some advice or help on here, as wishful thinking and crossing fingers has done no good at all!​

Im in a similar position except my hubby has a good count and low motility /morphology. We are heading for iui treatment soon.

With just a low count, it's possible to be successful with IUI. My aunt and uncle both around 36 conceived their first round of IUI (he also had a low count).

Do you have him on a vitamin? You can find recommendations in the Spouses with low sperm count thread. I use Fertility Blend that you can get from GNC. Have him abstain from hot baths,
-no drinking alcohol
-no smoking cigarettes or chewing tobacco
-cut back on caffeine
-make sure he's on a healthy diet, being overweight or underweight can affect your sperm
-keeping a laptop off his lap
-and the last one is manage stress but that's hard to do.

The next step would be to pursue a urologist for your husband to see if there's anything he can give him or suggest. Other than that it's doing all the above.

We are dealing with low count, motility, and not so hot morphology..and currently waiting to see if Tricare will let us see a urologist.

We're similar too, DH has had 2 sa both very different with good points and bad points we're waiting for another then hopefully get to talk to a FS about it.
I also came on here looking for advise on improving sperm count and if it's possible to still concieve. I've found loads of information about all sorts of things I never thought of before. My head is full of infomation now!!!
You're definatly in the right place.

thanks for all your lovely replies, been out and treated my fiance to decaf coffee and zinc tablets - when he returns we're gonna spend an hour exercising .... managed to lose nearly 4 stone but in the last few months but it's slowly creeping back on so need to sort that asap! x x x
