I'm really confused...what to do next?

I had my first IUI this cycle after 4 failed clomid cycles. But I have had brownish spotting on Tue/Wed, then red on Thurs/Fri but very little so I thought that was still spotting.

I had to go to the clinic for another preg test on Fri and it was negative, then they gave me prescription for next cycle but told me not to start until full flow. But on Sat (today) its still nothing really.

So I don't know:
a) if that was it....
b) what day of my cycle am I?....
c) if I should start taking the gonal-f injection....
d) should I test again?

Sometimes with fertility drugs..such as clomid. It can shorten and lighten your periods. I also used clomid on my first IUI and when AF arrived the next month I also had brown spotting for a few days then a red flow but it was very light. When did you DR advise you to start the fertility drug? Some women ar asked to start anywhere from day 3 to day 9. You ussally count your peroid as starting as soon as you see red flow. I think it would be best to contact your DR as soon as possible to answer you questions. That's what they are there for..Good luck on this cycle

My dr told me to count spotting as day 1...so I would probably think that your AF was the spotting

Thanks. So if I count that from Tue that would mean I am cd5 today and then I take gonal f tomorrow thats cd6! Hope thats not too late.

If I count from the day I saw red that was Thurs, so I would be cd3 today and if I start gonal f tomorrow thats cd4...that should be a good compromise right? I notice you got your :BFP: on your second cylce of IUI....is there anything you did differently that you think may have helped? LIke what is the injectibles and clomid?

I'm also a little concerned about our timing...my lining was only 7 mm but the FN wanted to give me trigger jab next day and I had the IUI only 24 hours later. Do you think that was why it didnt work this cycle?

I had the same problem with spotting last cycle...and actually thought the same thing as you - implantation. I took tests, which were BFN, but didn't count the first three days, because it was light spotting (not enough to wear anything). I saw my DR the following week, and he told me that I should have counted the first day and that I took my meds at the wrong time! Oy! But, some DR's say different things, so I would check to see what your DR would consider CD1. Good luck to you!
