I'm peeing like every 3 minutes. :nope: I'm SOOOO uncomfortable. I had a doctors appt today and told him I was having shooting pains in my cervix, and he said it's just stretching. Tonight I'm having pain in my lower abdomen on the right side and am urinating constantly. I feel like I have to go continually. Could baby just be pressing on my bladder, and thats whats causing this? Please help, I'm miserable.

Are you positive it is pee? Did they check you for a UTI at your appointment? Probably baby has just gotten in a weird position and it is making you have to go, but every three minutes sounds like way too much

Definitely get your urine checked for an infection.

They check my urine at every appt, not sure what they check for tho. They didn't have the results back by the end of my appt. Yes, it is pee... Just a tiny bit.

That sounds awful. I have had a few days here and there where there was a lot of bladder pressure and I had to pee more, but yours seems much more uncomfortable. There are over the counter test strips for UTI called AZO that they sell at the drug store. Maybe take one of those to make sure? I think if it continues you should go back to your doctor. Hope you feel better soon. :hugs:

I did not know about the OTC strips. That sounds like a great idea. I'll pick some up tomorrow. Thank you!!!

That totally sounds like a UTI. I have had it twice (I don't think they got rid of it the first time) since getting pregnant and it is absolutely miserable. You do feel like you have to pee constantly and it causes a lot of groin pain.

I would be surprised that your doc wouldn't test you?!? It is super common in pregnancy and can be dangerous if not treated since it can turn into a kidney infection.

I've been trying to lay on my left side, since the pain was on the right, I thught maybe the baby would move off of it. The pressure has definitely lessened, and I havent peed in 15 mins, am fighting the urge. Lol

Yes, that certainly sounds like a bladder infection, especially with the right-sided pain. Please go back to your doc to get antibiotics. Also, drink lots of water to flush out bad stuff. I know it sounds unpleasant to try to make yourself pee more, but a few big pees and you'll feel better!

could it be your waters ? or is it definately urine ?

I went to the ER last night, after being doubled over in pain for hours. Baby is fine and I do not have a UTI. My white blood cell count was elevated but they weren't concerned. They gave me a shot for the pain which immediately alleviated it. The urinating went away on it's own overnight. Expensive way to find out you're just fine. I feel dumb but better for knowing.

Agreed! This sounds exactly like a UTI. I stopped drinking when I had one but that made it worse. When the doctor told me to drink plenty I did and I felt better within a couple of hours -it wasn't gone by any means but I did feel better,. She also said cranberry juice was a myth.

I'm glad you and baby are fine! Better to get checked out just to be safe :hugs:

Oh my goodness! Did they say what could have been causing it? Glad you're feeling better!!
