My best friend and I have decided to have a baby together. I was wondering if anybody had any advice, warnings or anything that may be beneficial to us!

He needs to be tested for HIV and AIDS - I would opt for the tests then wait 6 months then test again. This will ensure he is clean. Get yourself tested too.

Depending on where you live he will be the father if you are single esp if it involves sex. So consider this as if you marry in the future he will still have all the rights to the child.

Have you thought it through - its definatley what you want to do? How old are you if you don't mind me asking?
What made you decide to have a baby with your friend? Has Mr Right not come along?

We both are going to be tested again. He is tested regularly. I'm 24. The way we see it he can't have children normally and I want to have a child with someone I know is going to be a father. Being married doesn't guarantee that. My parents were married when I was born and they divorced shortly after. We feel if we have a child together they will never wonder if their parents love/want them. When I do find Mr. Right he will have to accept me and my child as with any normal relationship but they also have to accept that my "baby daddy" is my best friend! Sex will not be involved to conceive. We are looking into at home AI.
