Implantation Bleeding??

Hi there everyone!! I have been scouring this message board and finally decided to join so I could post my experience and hopefully have some help!

My hubby and I are TTC #1... I came off of the pill in August of last year and then went 6 months without a period! Yikes!! I have had 2 cycles since (37 and 40 days in length). I have been charting my BBT but I'm not super great at it still lol... Here's the situation I am in...

I got a positive OPK approx 2 weeks ago, however I did not see a thermal shift on my chart that confirmed ovulation. Now, I DID see a thermal shift (VERY definite) 9 days ago. This makes me 9dpo today.

Last night and again this morning, I am having some reddish-brown strand-like spotting. I have NEVER had spotting before!! It is accompanied by very mild cramps that come and go. I have NONE of my usual PMS symptoms (usually get sore nipples, irritable, etc.). Can anyone help me out?! I am really REALLY hoping this is implantation bleeding... it's just too abnormal for me to not get my hopes up!

I remember my implantation bleed when I was pregnant with DD like it was yesterday because I didn't know anything like that happened it was such a panic for me.

I got my BFP before my implantation because I remember going to boots and buying umpteen pregnancy tests because I thought the worst, it was very brown, like the tail end of a period. I didn't have any pain with it at all but I also remember the week before my period was due I had no symptoms of PMS whatsoever!

Of course it varies from person to person, good luck

Thank you so much RainbowDrop!! You read so many conflicting stories online and every pregnancy is truly different. It's sure nice to know there are others who have been in your shoes and can relate! I think I will hold off on testing for another few days (possibly a week) and see what happens! Hoping for good things!

hi rolli,

i am experiencing something similar, had some pink on my tissue yesterday when i went to the loo, then today had a small amount of brown but only when i went to the loo. im not due af until next week so this is also very odd for me as my cycles are normally 34days+. when is ur af due? i am also hoping this is implantation bleeding, any other symptoms??

Hi there alicea!

Oh I am so glad we are not alone!! I am having the same sort of discharge, only when going to the bathroom (nothing makes it to my panties at all)... it's like a brown-tinted CM with the occasional bit of mucous-like CM with strands of rust coloured blood. Very strange seeing as I never spot! AF is due next week for me too!! Other symptoms... very mild dull cramping that comes and goes, and I suppose my other "symptom" would be my LACK of PMS symptoms! Usually by now my boobs are sore and I'm a bit of an irritable bitch! haha!!!

What about you?! What are you experiencing? When do you plan to test? I am soo nervous but so excited!!

gonna wait to test until af is due next week (well try not to as im a pos addict)! havent had the regular mood swings which i have in the build up to af, normally also get a funny tummy when af is about to start which i also havent had.

possible symptoms so far:

1.possible implantation bleeding
2.heightened sense of smell
3.weeing more
4.dry mouth when i wake up
5.struggling to sleep

Sounds like things are looking good for you!! Keep me posted on how you make out and I'll do the same! These next few days are going to drag haha... I don't like the disappointment of a BFN so I'm going to hold off till next week for sure! Wishing you the best of luck and all the love and light I can send out!

you too hun, make sure u keep me posted on any changes! i might not be on as much for a few days what with work. really hoping this is it!!! but ive been ttc for about 2yrs now so not too hopeful either. tryin not to make everythin seem like a symptom lol.

Well, no spotting today! As well as zero symptoms of AF... Whatever that was yesterday, it has come and gone.... guessing I will wait another 4 or 5 days or so and then test. Feeling hopeful but also have this overwhelming "down" feeling. Not sure what to think!
