Implantation Dip vs. Impending Witch... :S

Hello, ladies!

This is my first cycle ttc, and it has been a really crazy cycle so far! I o'ed the latest I ever have, CD25, which I am attributing to the stress and excitement of starting to try.

Anyhow, today I am 8dpo according to FF, and my temperature just dropped 0.3 degrees, to right on my coverline. Do you think this could possibly be an "implantation dip"? I had thought I may have had implantation a couple days ago, at 5dpo, when I had light pink/peachy spotting along with cm, but maybe it wasn't?

I really hope it isn't the ugly witch. She was originally predicted to arrive tomorrow, but with o'ing so late, FF shifted that prediction later. My LP is pretty consistently 16-18 days, so it seems too early for it to come. I also very consistently have a few days of brown spotting (sorry, tmi so early in the morning, haha!) but I have not had that lately. I did have some spotting for a while before and after my o date (which is not usual for me), and the pink spotting at 5dpo, but nothing since then.

Other symptoms of late: nausea, lightheadedness, mild cramps, random twingy/pinchy/pulling feelings, bloating, fatigue, sporadically itchy and tingly boobs, moodiness and weepiness (although that part thankfully subsided a couple days ago).

I know I should just wait and see what tomorrow brings, but I've never been good at that, LOL.

So, I'm just hoping for some insight! Do you think it could be a sign of implantation? If so, do you think tomorrow would be a good day to test, or would it be too early?

Hi hun,
Well starting is very exciting and stressful I feel you completed.

The likelihood of implantation happening day 5 is pretty low, but dpo 8 is a possibility however not all women see dips in their charts to signify this.

I have been at this for three years, and if I can be so impetuous as to give you advise it would be do not over-analyze every dip and swing of your chart. Remember charts that are pregnant and charts that are not pregnant look identical until the af comes. There have been months where I had the dip mid chart, or even the triphasic chart and was sure I was preggers, only to get af at my usual time.

The purpose of charting is to confirm that you have Ovulated, that is really it. After that some people stop taking their temps until AF arrives as it can be all consuming if you are at this for more than a few months.

I wish you all the luck in the world, hope that was an Implantation dip but if not there is always next month.

You are right, it's best to not over-analyze; unfortunately for me that is my nature and I do it all the time, and I guess especially so for this, something I want so much!

I did end up testing this morning, even though in my head I knew it was likely too early, partially because I got a new type of test and wanted to get the hang of it (the strips from easy-pregnancy-tests.com). I thought I was prepared for a BFN, but when I saw it I still felt awful and cried.

How long do you think I should wait to re-test?
