I had an emergency c section sept 12 (a week ago) and most parts of my body pain have lightened up a lot but the left side of my Incision keeps getting worse. My superficial wound is fine, no tearing or oozing but internally feels like its ripping apart. It's warm to touch and swollen but not red. My bleeding was pretty much gone and tonight it came back strong and bright red, not soaking it though. As you can see its so boarder line I'm not sure of its hemeroging or if it's normal to have this much stabbing pain in my incision? I would rather not go to emerge of I dont have to but Tylenol is not helping my pain anymore . Any suggestions ??

Yea that doesn't sound right I barely had pain the day of my c-section 1 week later I was doing housework I'm 2 weeks now and don't take any pain meds bleeding tho will seem to stop then in a few hours comes bk a little heavy for a few mins then stop again

Please go and get this checked out for your own good I had something very similar after my emcs with my son 2years ago. I ignored it and had a rude community midwife tell me I was a wimp I infact was bleeding internally and had septic shock. I do t mean to scare you but honestly I would never of thought I had it I kept putting on a brave face until a ambulance was called. So please get checked!!

Hi

I had a lot of pain after my c section. The day of my section I was absolutley fine but the next day it hit me like a ton of bricks. All I could describe my pain being like is a red hot poker slicing through my scar. One side was worse at the beginning then it stoped on that side and travelled to the other. My midwife said the pain on the side is where the Doctor sews/ties you up. I remember when I got home I couldn't stand for long periods at once but I kept trying and had to call my OH to get me a chair as it was so painful. I couldn't resume normal activities/hosework until 3 weeks after and even then I had to take it easy.

Take care hope you feel better soon. xx

my left side was agony for 2 weeks....its the side they ended the stitches on and used the retractor on to pull your scar apart. BUT warm to touch = infection probably. if it feels hard thats a tell tale sign too. get it checked!! once i had antibiotics for mine the pain vanished

Always get it checked out. I'm 6 weeks on now but heat can indicate an infection. I have had a couple of infections so needed antibiotics.
