Tristan has started getting up heaps in the night for full feeds - about three times during the night and in the early morning. He used to only get up once (up until about a week ago).

My possible theories:

* It is linked to his teething - his first tooth broke through this week.
* He is having a growth spurt.

We have started to wean him this week, but just a little taste of things and are still giving him his full milk feeds to go along with it - so he is actually getting more food than normal.

Any suggestions?

Hebe started to wake an hour earlier this week which coincided with the start of weaning too! BUT last night she went down 2 hours earlier and woke up at normal time this morning. I'm wondering if it's her body getting used to processing the food??? It's only a theory BTW!! :shy:

Could it be that something new he has eaten hasn't agreed with him? I have no other ideas apart from your growth spurt one, sorry. x

I don't think it was something new he had eaten as he had started waking loads before we started weaning - this was one of the reason we decided to wean him a couple of weeks early than the six months we had originally hoped to go for.

I think it sounds like a growth spurt x

Must have been a growth spurt - last Thursday he weighed 17 pounds and 2 ounces and today 17 pounds and 8 ounces.

Nice growth spurt :) hopefully the food will help him sleep a tad better
