Increasing Metformin dose bring on AF?

Hi ladies,

Just wondering if increasing my metformin dose from 1500mg to 2000mg will help bring AF on sooner?

I know it sounds crazy but I'm sure all of you ladies who have been trying a long time have gone to great lengths too... my OH is away working right now and he will be home near the end of december so I'm trying to push my next period ahead so hopefully I can get one just before he comes back !

I never heard of that, and I took metformin at 1500mg for over a year -- I do know that increasing the dose made me sick to my stomach!

ps. have you had your thyroid checked as well? I was on metformin for over a year (and into this pregnancy), but I think when they discovered my underactive thyroid and put me on medication for that, the final 'key' clicked in....(Oh, was diagnosed years ago with PCOS, sigh.....)

I have never had that checked but if anything I think I may have an over active thyroid !
