I discovered baby wearing with my DD (my 2nd baby) and it was a godsend! She wanted me to carry her ALL. THE. TIME. and she LOVED the wrap and would just sleep for hours and hours while I carried her.

So in preparation for #3 I knew I wanted to baby wear again, so I bought some additional carriers (an Ergo and a woven wrap since DS2 was born in the summer) but so far he HATES every single carrier I've put him in (I also have a Boba/stretchy wrap and a Mei Tai wrap). It's generally pretty cool where I live so it's not a heat issue, but the moment I put him in the wrap he struggles and screams until I take him out. I've tried putting him in when he's sleepy/on the verge of falling asleep but he's only slept for 10 - 15 minutes before waking up and screaming.

I tried putting him in the Ergo last week (I don't have the infant insert though so I'm not sure whether he's big enough for it yet) but he screamed in that as well...

Anyone have experience with this? Did you find a carrier your LO liked eventually? or was there a point you just gave up...?

Suggestions greatly appreciated! We're going away this weekend and it would be soooooo handy if I could wear him for parts of the trip!

My first loved been worn . Snuggled in and was so content . So far this little lady hates it . Struggles n squirms and crys as soon as she realises she is in a sling . I've tried a caboo, leni lambe , mei tai and wrap . I've given up for now .. This one likes her buggy !

Is he just too nosy, maybe a side position so he can see out more or higher up to see over your shoulder?

Is he happy when you just carry him in your arms and the sling feels restrictive?

No advice Hun but wanted to say congratulations on your little man he's gorgeous X

My wee one HATES being worn. We had a stretchy wrap and I tried a few friends things, she hated all of them. She hates anything that "encloses" her and she overheats really easily - she was born in October and we are in Scotland and I remember it was snowing, she must have been going for her four month immunisations, I had accidentally left her pram in the car and my OH had it at work. I put her in the wrap and wore one of my OHs hoodies, I put her inside the hoodie and put a hat on and she was sick constantly all the way to the clinic, she was so hot I had to take her hat off and unzip the hoodie.

We used it once or twice since then but its not worth the effort (Imo) if they don't like it.
