Injectable (gonadatropin) therapy ... ?

Hello Ladies,
So, I'm currently day 19 of a natural cycle (but I haven't been Oing on my own .. and clomid and femara have failed us) ...

So, as soon as my next cycle starts, we're going to be starting on injectables.

I'm curious to know about anyones experience with them .. successes? side effects? horror stories? etc.

They seem like a LOT of prep and a LOT of work, so I'm worried about messing them up, haha! A lot of mixing, injecting, blood work, ultrasounds, etc.

RE said 99% chance I'll O -- which will be wonderful -- It's got me really hopeful, which is nice ... but I think all my excitement will lead to a bigger heartbreak if this isn't a successful cycle! We shall see ...

back in Jan 10 I had an injectable cycle timed intercourse, we had 6 rounds of failed clomid although the clomid at higher dose did make me ovulate, however my consultant was very honest with the average success rates on an injectable cycle and they were low they obviusley vary clinic to clinic though, but what I will say is it gave me a very good insight into IVF and although I emotionally didn't cope to well physical side effects were perfectly fine only thing I got was a few hot fluses (which came in handy in winter lol) and some headaches but just make sure you drink plenty, it didn't work for me but when we moved on to IVF emotionally/mentally I was prepared and knew what to expect and took it much more in my stride and if im honest breezed through the IVF!
