Hi Ladies,

Just to let you know my story...
Hubby and i have been trying to have a baby for 6 years now, his sperm is fine, i have had a Lap & dye and Ovarian drilling last Sept and tubes were all clear however they did find some kind of shadowing in my uterus which i had removed via a Hystroscopy this May, my FS put a hormone coil in me for 3 months to allow the uterus to heal, i had that out last month and started Clomid (100mg days 2-6) again for the 4th time ( i had used clomid various times before too) My FS was monitoring me and so i went for regular folical tracking scans each month, and every month was the same thing...the folicals wernt big enough! Errgg

I am now on day 51 with no AF, and i really thought a few weeks back that i maybe pregnant...and that the coil helped as my last period was normal (4 days bleed) because i have always had irregular periods and some which have been very long...BUT i was wrong, after 2 neg pg tests i realised that i wasnt pregnant but only feeling very bloated ...i kinda had a niggling feeling as my 21 day prg test came back very low...but even then my FS told me on the phone that because i have very irregular periods that maybe incorrect...

I called my FS again last week and told them i tested and it was neg, and i still havent started my period...she asked me to go for a scan on Monday (yesterday) they told me that my ovaries look fine and theres no cysts or anything and also my lining looks ok...i asked about the injections as the next step because i felt clomid was somehow not working for me as well as it does for others...

I went in this morning and picked up my injections, the sister showed me how to use them...i have to pay for them at about £150 for 1 cycle, i have to take the injections myself on days 2, 4, 6, 8 and maybe 10, i have to then call the FS office on the 1st day of my AF and book a 10 day scan, and hopefully there should be some healthy folicals...

Has anyone taken these injections or is anyone on these injections currently? I would love to hear some tips and pointers....
oh and also im verryyyy scared of needles!!

I felt that there are other clubs on here and we need a 'Injectables Club' i cant be the only one on them...right??

Hi, I have had injectables twice getting ready for my IUI and was really scared about doing it myself BUT it was fine. I used the Gonal F pens and the needles are very small and it didn't hurt at all. After the first one I found all the others really easy. You'll be fine and just think you're a step closer to achieving your dream xx

I agree with vick, I've had the injections and they weren't bad at all. I'm actually getting ready to start using injectibles again, I am cd1 and should start around cd5.

Thanks for that, did they work for you? What cycle are you on and are you still injecting?

Yes to be honest i was expecting a really big needle and it turned out to be a smaller one so i do feel a bit better now...
Im waiting to start AF...its playing tricks on me, i had a bit of old blood yesterday then nothing today errrgghhh xx

Hi there, are you doing the injections whilst on Clomid? I have come across a few girls before who were using both, i asked my FS he said just use the injections...
Oh and are there any side effects at all?

Why CD5, dont we have to do them on days 2,4,6,8, and 10?

On cd7 first month on injections. I was also scared to give myself a shot everyday but it turns out its not that bad after all. I did 6 months of clomid 100mg and only got one follicle each month...But just went to my cd7 u/s and good news he showed me 3 to 4 good size follicles on each ovary...definitely a first for me!!! So I don't have a success story about getting my bfp but Im happy that the meds are doing what they need to.....I should be going for my b2b iui's this weekend so Ill be back on then to tell you how many actually got big enough to ovulate!! Best of luck to you and I hope this is both of our months!!

Goodluck Star! It looks like this thread hasnt been open in awhile. I am planning on starting injectibles in Sept. Great Follies!!
