Can anyone offer any advice please?
I am 20 weeks and for the last couple of months i have been struggling with sleep...taking a long time to fall to sleep, waking up frequently and waking up around 4am and not being able to get back to sleep. I think im averaging around 4 hours of sleep a night. I was coping on this but feels like ive hit a brick wall this last week. Im starting to feel really run down. I know my sleep is affected by my 1yo who is a poor sleeper and very early riser and i know i wake up anticipating his wakeups alot.
Ive been going to bed early but im still lying awake until midnight most nights. So far i have tried reading to relax, music, and yoga. (Yoga does help sometimes). Oh and ear plugs just to block out the seaguls and other little noises work quite well for me but not aswell as they used to. I spoke to a pharmacist tody to see if theres anything i could get over the counter like Kalms or something but he said he couldnt give anything at all in pregnancy and asked me to book a GP app.
I was hoping to avoid anything too strong as worry about being groggy when my son wakes early morning. Does anyone have any suggestions please.
