Insulin dependant diabetic! struggling with hypos

I have been out for a stroll with my oh and daughter down the canal path . My sugar was 13 b4 i went out i thought i wont have a bolus (im on pump) as im walking but i ended up in hypo of 2.1 . This happened other day also only been casually walking for 15 mins.

Anyone else the same?

I'm insulin dependant too chick and I have only suffered 2 hypos so far (I felt really crappy!!!) Mine hve both happened when I've been sat chillin out watchin t.v my sugars have just crashed.

I have glucotabs with me at all times in case it happens if it keeps happening chick tell your consultant or MW.

i have supply of lucozade, yacky stuff! There every 2 weeks t min. Had 2 hypo today and it jst makes u feel so tired and rubbish with the awful headache and i get shivers too.

Hi im insulin dependant and have hypos either when Im going to bed or in middle of the night and sometime first thing in the morning.

Have you tried reducing your insulin? you may be doing a bit too much? thats what the doctors say to me if I'm active then do less insulin or if Im ill

Hi Nicki u not far from me. The drs keep upping my insulin cause my hba1c is been in the 8 all the time. they dont get that then i have hypo so treat hypo and end up with higher sugar which then puts hb up.

Hey, yeah the drs like hba1c's to be 5 or under which mine started off like that but have escalated to above 10. do you see your dr or diabetic nurse? Coventry NHS is rubbish for keeping an eye on me. you cant keep having hypos though, surely they can do something. Im on 4 injections a day and my OH is too. they wouldnt let me have the pump.

Nicki im at lri now see both dr and nurses. they wont let me go anywhere othere that there while im preg. How come they wont let you have pump?

When I was at school they didnt reccomend the pump to me as they were worried someone would pull it out but I havent mentioned it to nurses since that was like 6 years ago lol. but it is deffinatley something to look in to when I do become pregnant though x
