Hi,

I am having little painful intercourse and hence, tried with syringe method. Syringe method didn't work out well.

Can you please advice how to do successful intercourse for conception? Can I pee, bath after bd? any precautions do i need to take?

what position is better for conception. I can only do one position - I on top and DH on bottom. This doesn't seem to be best position because everything comes out. Please give me advice.

what if extremely deep penetration is not possible?

Thanks,

Hi,
I had this problem while ttc, it used to take my partner ages to finish and I'd get dry and swollen. We got round it by just having foreplay and oral until my partner was about to finish then I'd jump on (sorry far tmi!)
This ment I didn't get as sore and the short term pain was bearable.

As for positions, I don't think it really matters. I'd always lie down and prop my hips up with a pillow after just to keep it in.

Hey, just wanted to let you know that it has been shown that saliva actually harms sperm, so I would look into pre seed or conceive plus as lubricant. They are safe for ttc and act as ewcm. Also there is a new tool out there called the stork. Its a little expensive, about 70 dollars, but it collects the semen and then you put it up next to your cervix and it sits there for a few hours. You just pull it out like a tampon. GL!!

I don't have advice, but I'm also curious as to whether peeing and washing up after BD hurts chances and if so is it a little or a lot?

So I don't have experience buy Iv read a LOT of conception books etc and basically it seems that you can get pregnant successfully in any position, lying down might give you a little boost but his swimmers are pretty good at doing just that, what comes back out is mostly just seamen (used to carry the sperm as far as your cervix) and a few dead sperm and not many of the good stuff. So whilst lying down won't hurt is certainly isn't a requirement. Having a bath straight away might not be the best but having a pee and wiping away seamen shouldn't hurt. If your in pain preseed is a good lubricant that doesn't hurt sperm but most lube does and saliva can. But if your in pain (rather than discomfort) then it might be worth getting checked out for infections or problems down there

Just lay down for 10 mins or so. It will run out anyway lol. You can have sex standing up and get pregnant. Dont over think stuff just lay down for a while after. If you do pee it wont all drop out again xx

Just chiming in to agree with all the other answers here! I have a bladder condition that makes certain positions uncomfortable and means it's almost imperative for me to pee straight after sex, and the doctor said those things would affect chances of conceiving to an extremely minor degree, if at all :-). I don't know about bathing right afterward, but I'd imagine it's the same.

Whew, that takes a bit of a load off my mind. I always have to pee and rinse myself off right after or else there's a very, very good chance at a UTI. :dohh: Good to know that won't hurt my chances too much if at all.

Dont worry i used to get up go pee shower and go to work straight after and im 27 weeks pregnant. They swim pretty fast ;-) xx

Anything that comes out after sex will never make its way past your cervix, likewise anything past the cervix wont come out. If you have an IUI done (and i have) they want you to lay down for 5 min but that has nothing to do with the procedure but so you dont get light headed and drop to the floor. My specialist specifically said i could do jumping jacks. There was never any leakage with an IUI because all the sperm were past the cervix where they're supposed to be.

There is no specific position that will help or hinder conception, ejaculation occurs at like 200mph or something crazy like that and thats whats important. If you have a problem physically handling sex I would also suggest foreplay until your hus band is about to ejaculate, some preseed and then have him enter you to ejaculate. That can and will get your just as pregnant as anyone else :)

Thanks all. my prob is little discomfort.not pain.
also, any suggestion on deep penetration...is that must ?

Could the discomfort be from hitting your cervix? My OB/GYN told me that deep penetration was just uncomfortable for some people, but she did offer to go in and freeze a part of mine to decrease the sensitivity if it was from a friable (irritable) cervix. But that was just if I wanted; deep penetration isn't necessary for conception... like Ariannda said, sperm travel very far very fast!

Nah any amount of penetration will work! Dont over think. Dont get obsessed. Dont get stressed. Rtake folic acid. Try intercourse on different days and times. Try have sex every other day around middle of your cycle.

Most importantly believe!!!! If u can have babies then you will fall pregnant. Its very rare a women can not have babies. It will happen within the next few months to a year. If it does not then your doctors will test u and ur oh and find out the problem and then there are options. So please please please dont over think this. I did abit and now i feel silly.

i promise you though when u get there its a great feeling but it comes with side effects too lol. Enjoy getting pregnant. Good luck hun xxx
