Ok,
I have LDP and my leuteal phase is usually 10-12 days. I am 16 Dpo (first round of Clomid) and I have used the internet cheapies and nothing.

I am on round one of Clomid and on CD 32, no period and not even a hint of a second line on the internet cheap pg tests. . .

I'm Dying!!! This wait is killing me. Though I feel as if AF is going to show for the last 3 days.

for those of you who have seen a BFP, what did you use? Internet cheap tests? or store bought tests?

I don't want to R&R so just wanted to say I'm really interested, too. Most months I manage to stop myself from doing tests, or I'll do one FRER but I feel like I'm wasting my money buying them every time. Any ladies' insight and perhaps recommendations of good/bad ICs to get would be hugely appreciated by me, too!!

I haven't used Internet cheapies to confirm a BFP but I have used then to test out a trigger and they seem to work perfectly fine. The day after the trigger I see a strong 2nd line, although not as dark as the control. And then it gets progressively lighter over the next 4-5 days or so. The last day of the trigger is an extremely faint line and then the following day is no line. My trigger is only 5,000 units so it's out in about 5 days give or take.

The embryo can take up to day 10-12 DPO (average is 9) to implant and takes a few days after that to show up in urine. I read that 95% will get a BFP by the day of their missed period, but there's still 5% who don't get it until later.

I also didn't want to R&R so here are the stats on pregnancy tests, 88% would record a positive by 16DPO (are you sure you are 16DPO, do you chart?)##

Have never really bothered pregnancy testing as my chart tells me when AF is coming, but I use IC opks and find them absolutely fine.

Thank you both.
I knew as soon as I would post this AF would show herself. Sure enough she came this morning.

I do not chart, but I get bloods taken 10dpo to make sure I ovulation happens.

onto round 2 of Clomid.....

I was reading the reviews of the internet tests and they have some poor reviews. I think I am going to stick with the store bought tests. I really would like to know sooner, and the thought that they may be unreliable scares me a bit.

I believe that the blue dye tests are pretty notorious for recording a false positive, which would be awful, I'd avoid them. But for me I don't even bother POAS

You might find the charting helpful next cycle, as it will help pinpoint ovulation and let you know if a BFP is likely or AF is coming? Fertility Friend website has a good online charting course.

Ok, so this may sound dumb but I had used a blue dye test once and got an Evap line, I wanted it so bad to be positive. . . I dont buy them anymore because I want a positive so bad I would convince myself they were +. I find myself wanting to buy them so I can live in a little fantasy for a bit.

That doesn't sound dumb at all! Not to this group anyway. The first time I ever got a trigger shot, I took a HPT the next day just to see the test positive for once. I still look at it sometimes when I need a little help thinking positively.

Well the whole time we've been TTC I've only done two pregnancy tests (in 16 months) and one of them was just to see what if felt like to POAS, the other one was someone told me that certain kinds of soda got a BFP.

So I pregnancy tested my Irn Bru (famous in Scotland, where more people drink that than Coke!) and it got a BFP.

So out my pack of 25 HPTs that I hopefully bought in 2010, I still have 23 left.

Love the irnbru story northstar :D
I dont have the willpower you have & am a compulsive tester. I find ICs great, means I can poas and not worry about £. Dont find the ic opks work for me though & sometimes use the clear blue digi poas as i like to see the smily face :-) but they are pricy.
