Those of you that saw my last thread basically know how this goes, but for those interested in more details... here's her birth story

I was initially scheduled to be induced this morning... she had other ideas:
Thursday at 12:30 in the morning, my water broke - no contractions had started, which is how labour with DS started, so I was nervous. We went in to get monitored, and they asked if we wanted to be induced right away - we decided to go ahead and do that... so at about 2:45 I had the IV in and on pitocen.
I was feeling tightenings and really light contractions pretty quick, at about 7:15AM they became a lot more intense - still manageable.. It's amazing what breathing will do for you.
At 8:30AM my doctor came in and broke my hindwaters, which got things going a lot faster... by about 9:45 I decided it was time for the epidural. My experience with it this time was so much better... I could still move my legs and my feet, and I could tell when I was having a contraction, but I didn't have any pain.
I was dilating and progressing really well but she was not dropping. At about 2:00 my doctor came back and checked how things were going... reached in and felt that baby was back to back - so when a contraction came... I pushed... she rotated... and decided it was time to come out. 4 contractions later (3 sets of pushing with each one) and a total of about 15 minutes and she was on my chest.
For anyone else on team yellow for the first time - it was SOOOOOO worth the wait!!
We got to delay the cord clamping for a minute, I did have a first degree tear and a bit of stitching but nothing major... held her and tried to nurse - she wasn't having any of it... she wanted to yell at us for a bit. They took her to do all the vitals and within the hour we were being transferred to our room - I was able to stand up and walk to the wheelchair, and to the washroom... and was off the IV 4 hours later.
Cordelia latched on within an hour after being born and has been a natural ever since... we spent our entire first night co-sleeping, cuddling and nursing and it was fantastic.
DS is very excited to have a baby sister, and we're happy to be home as a family now.
I can't get pictures uploaded from my ipad so I will have to add them once I have access to my computer.
maybe this link will work to one of them
