How do you introduce toast as a finger food?

Is there one sort of bread (plain white sliced, multigrain, rye, baguette, etc) that works better than the other or is it just whatever you have?

Anddd would pita, english muffin, or anything else be "better" to start off with? Or is regular bread the easiest/best?

We just started by giving Poppy white bread with butter cut into soldiers. Now we give her brown as that is what we eat ourselves.

We also give her pitta, barm cakes (probably muffins to you :)) but for a while we just gave the toast till she got used to finger foods.

I just started out with white bread and butter as thats how we eat our bread/toast, then once she had the hang of that i tried adding spreads to the toast, jam, marmite etc. Then i tried crumpets (dont knw if you have those?) and her latest one is muffins.

Not bad seeings as we still dont have any teeth
