Hi All

So I had a natural MC in April, I bled for 5 weeks, and finally stopped and then got AF. I thought everything would be back on track, sadly I am mistaken, this our first cycle ttcal and my period is now 2 days late and I getting BFN's, although I don't know when or if I ovulated I think it's more likely my cycles are irregular after the MC (I always had 30 day cycles as regular as clockwork) than that I'm pregnant.

anyway, just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and how long it took for your cycle to return to normal? It's so cruel to have a late AF and not be pregnant, especially after a loss :( I'm pretty angry at my body atm!

It can take a while for cycles to go back to normal, or you can get a new normal for you. After on miscarriage I had 25 day cycles and after my daughter they went to 30ish days. So for me it just varies.

Hey. I think that your cycles can defiinatley change after a loss. For the past 3 months my cycles have been 30 days and before my MC they were 28 days. My luteal phase is now 13 days rather than 10 which is a good thing. They may go back to normal or it may just be a new normal for you, which I think has happened in my case x

thanks, AF is currently going on 4 days late :(
I have been under a lot of stress and a high workload so am wondering if that and the mc have just messed me something chronic

I had a couple really long cycles after my first mc (36 and 34 days, I believe) and then ended up with a "new normal" of shorter cycles (29-30 days) after my second mc until I became pregnant again. I was 31 days like clockwork before my first mc. Your body is just going to be different while your hormones get themselves back in order. And you may end up with a new normal too!

It's great to see that women like yourself go on to have a healthy pregnancy after a couple of losses. Gives us all hope 😊

My second cycle after MC was 34 days long, that had never happenned to me before. The third one went back to 28 days and now am in the 4th cycle waiting to see....
I know its difficult...I also tested thinking I might be pregnant, just try to relax and keep yourself busy and your body will get back on track or as somebody else said you might find a new normal in you, am still waiting to find out mine.
:hugs:

Hello, I hope it's okay to share my story on your thread?

I'm now on CD46 after what I thought was a normal period 43 days after a D&C after miscarrying identical twins at 6 weeks.

After the D&C I bled for 6 days then stopped bleeding for 12 days before spotting for 10 days. 15 days after the spotting stopped, I received what I believe was my period. Now, however, I'm 15 days 'late' and all pregnancy tests are negative.

Is it possible I just haven't ovulated yet? I have only just recently discovered how to chart my cycle using BBT, though I haven't received my thermometer yet.

Sorry about your loss

I don't know, but I didn't want to read and run, I think anything is possible after a mc, mine was late because I was pregnant, unfortunately it ended in another miscarriage (a cp) I believe I ovulated about 4 days later than I usually would.

Good luck, I hope AF arrives soon

I've been reading up a lot on this because i am in my first cycle after a miscarriage. I haven't had my first AF yet, and I'm temping so I know I haven't ovulated. It's very frustrating.

Do you temp?
