Is black acceptable for a Christening?!

I ordered my dress today for one of the christenings I am attending in March.
After I had ordered, I thought it may be unacceptable to wear black at a christening and its been bugging me since. I googled it and apparently it's not the proper etiquette

So, would you wear black to a christening? Would you mind people wearing black to your babies christening? Or would you look at someone bad for wearing black to a christening?

I wouldn't think anything of it tbh, maybe if it was in the middle of summer it would seem odd, but I would think it's fine! Not sure on the proper etiquette though haha!

I think its absolutely fine. Everyone wears black nowadays, I've worn black toa wedding before, I think it looks really classy with nice accessories etc xx

I don't think there's anything wrong with wearing black to a Christening. I wore black pants to my son's Christening.

I think it's fine to wear black to a Christening. If you're still a bit unsure then you could always brighten it up with jewellery and accessories.

I'd wear it. For my daughters christening last year I wore a black dress with flowers on it. I wouldn't bat an eyelid if someone else had turned up wearing all black. It's a nice dress
