So last Friday we upped Violet from 5oz to 6oz bottles as she was draining most of the 5oz bottles she had.

Since then, she's only taking between 4 - 5 of the 6oz and will easily go 4hrs before she wants feeding again.

Today, she's only left 1oz tops of her bottles and this evening she almost took the whole 6oz at 5pm (she started the bottle at 5pm) - only about half an oz left.... but at 7.30pm she was crying and looked like she was still hungry. She wasn't interested in water or a dummy so we thought we'd try giving her some more. She took another 3oz's!

Could it be a growth spurt or could she be trying to fill up during the evening so she can go thro the night? She's been going at least 5hrs between feeds during the night

Found this -

There is no set time for a growth spurt to appear, however there is a generality. A baby’s body is not a clock but they will generally go though a growth spurt between 7-10 days old, around three weeks, six weeks, three months, four months, six months and nine months. Most of the weight they gain during the first two years will be gained during this time and they will also grow in inches.

All babies are different so she could be going through one (She is around 6 weeks afterall?). I can't remember what my LO was on that early. I'd ask your HV see what she says.

Sounds like it could be!
