Is it just me? Domestic bliss...

I wish I could say me too but I've never been big on cleaning and its got worse since having Tom.....I'd much rather be out at groups or playing with Tom. Lucky for us DH loves to clean and tidy.

I feel blissful when I have cleaned from top to bottom, and ironed..I sit with a cup of tea and think.."yeah"... that is very sad right?

I love the feeling of sitting down after doing chores and the house is clean and tidy and smells lovely.
For me things just run better with lists and order!

Omg I LOVE cleaning and tidying and writing lists! The only problem is I hardly ever get enough time to do it all!
I get such a buzz after cleaning the house haha! And I love trying out new cleaning products, infact I bought one for my oven today which I plan on trying tomorrow haha, yes I am aware of how sad I sound lol.
I just feel so stressed out though when I look around my house and see mess, whereas if it's nice and clean and tidy I just feel soooo calm and relaxed and happy :haha:

Im with you. I love nothing more than cleaning the house top to bottom! I get a bit twitchy if LO is having a needy day and wont nap and I cant get my full fix.

I can't relax if the house is a mess. Our downstairs is always spotless but at the moment our bedroom is a mess as I've been sorting out clothes for the charity shop and our loft (converted into Daisy's playroom) is a total mess and I can't get it out of my mind that it needs doing! I don't actually like cleaning or find it therapeutic but I really love every inch of the house being spotless!

I hate hate hate mess and clutter but we have three dogs, chickens and horses as well as DS so i am usually mucking out, exercising or feeding something rather than cleaning our house.

I only get that "ahhhhhh" feeling on.. Um... Days the cleaner comes. In my defence I can't allow my cleaner to come to a messy house so do always make sure everywhere is ready for her.

Does that make me inelligible for any domestic goddess awards?

I cook my husband tea every night if that helps any?

Haha this is me all over but I think it's only cos I'm pregnant!

I'm obsessed with clean smells I sniff my clean washing none stop, i go thru litres of ironing water n I loooove cleaning the laminate floors haha! I get excited hanging up the ironed clothes too haha x

I have definately become like this since having lo. I even iron now (only lo's things nothing else) I have turned into my Mum!

I WISH i was like you ladies. I agree though, nothing feels better than a tidy clean house. I just don't have the will power to do it most of the time.

I will pay for you to fly to the states if you'd like to take some of that domestic bliss out on my house!
You should be very proud honey.

SAME!!! Although I do get the 'high' when I'm finished I must admit... I only clean once a week though  Would prob more often if I didn't work 3 days/wk...
What I need is someone to come do my IRONING. I have not reached that level of domestic bliss yet... just don't have time and I WILL NOT give up my ONE day of 'fun' with the kids OR my evenings after they are in bed to do it unless I HAVE to... And by that I mean, the stack has reached the ceiling
Good for you hon :hugs: :D

Oh this is TOTALLY me! I love cleaning! I just bought a range of cleaning products that smell lush:

Glass cleaner = passion fruit scent
Bathroom cleaner = coconut scent
Floor cleaner = pineapple scent

To say my house smells lush is in understatement. I actually enjoying going out so I can get that first lovely sniff when I walk through the front door :haha:

What a lovely idea! Where did you get these lovely sounding products? We are truly kindred spirits :hugs:

This is them https://www.ecobabe.com.au/b/17730/1/cinderella-cleaning-products.html

They are an Aussie brand, but they may ship to the UK. I love that they are environmentally friendly and don't have nasty chemicals but still clean very well. My favourite is the coconut bathroom cleaner. Some may say it is too "coconutty" but I love it. I scrub my tub more often than required, just because I love the smell :shy:

Thanks :flower: I shall look at those links in a minute - am getting worryingly excited at the prospect!

Lol i love tidying and keepin a clean house! Btw huggies pure wipes are great for gettin dust off wooden furniture! Lol

I feel scruffy and on edge if i dont keep on top of the house, i think its rubbin off on lo as if she drops crumbs she starts wafting them with her hand
trying to 'clean' the mess lol x

Ha ha, my LO is the same - he often 'cleans up' messes saying 'tidy, tidy' as he goes - it made me think I may be getting a tad over-zealous, but I cant seem to stop myself

Hows the oven looking now you've cleaned it? :winkwink:

I think the fact that you tidy up before the cleaner comes makes you part of the club  One of us, one of us :haha:

Yay, that sounds like my dream holiday! I am desperate to drive on route 66 in our camper van, and if i knew that there'd also be cleaning involved, well... (drifts off into fantasy land) :laundry:

I have definately become like this since having lo. I even iron now (only lo's things nothing else) I have turned into my Mum!

I can relate to this. The other day I thought 'Im going to start ironing LO's stuff' even though Ive never bothered to iron ever before (unless my DH demands a nice uncreased shirt for his annual works do - and he doesnt even do that any more!) xx

I've been like this the last two weeks or so, I can't fully relax if something's a mess. Although I think it's probably more to do with being paranoid that I go into labour and my house is a mess. My standards have slipped in the last two days again because I've been feeling quite shitty but i'm determined to have it back to lovely clean state by bedtime tonight!
