recently I feel like I have become a complete insomniac :( I can't go to bed any earlier that 2am and when I do eventually muster the courage to go to bed, I am up and down like a yoyo due to needing the toilet and my SPD.

I dread going to bed too. Sometimes I know I am shattered but I watch all the rubbish tv willing myself to stay awake to avoid going to bed.

I am in agony during the night, when I wake, I need to change sides and it takes me around a minute or two to do this as when I turn it hurts and my pelvis cracks....ouch :(

I am also taking Labetalol for High Blood Pressure.

Don't really know what i'm looking for to be honest.... I guess i'm just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same.

Have you thought of sleeping on the couch or chair that you watch TV from? If it's more comfortable, I'd do it. You need your rest.

hunni i went like 4 days running on 5 hours sleep. even tho i want sleep i cant sleep., i get major leg spasms that i even bruised my dh leg lol it does get better i guess.... goood luck

Thank you is all can say, im not alone. Im in the exact same boat hun, its annoying as i know i should be asleep, but i just cant. My SPD is a killer at night too, im flipping over like a pancake to get comfortable, but then it takes me ages to actually turn over. The joys eh :) x

Funnily enough, DH offered to sleep on the couch so I could have the bed all to myself and I might find it easier to get comfy because my best sleep is in the morning once he is up and away to work and I have the bed to myself.

Could never do that to him though :dohh:

I am considering trying sleeping on the couch though, it is quite a comfy couch :winkwink:

I know, when I'm turning over to the other side I have to do it so slowly and keep my knees together and try out different ways but it always ends up with my pelvis going *crack* and me saying ouch :(

I truly love being pregnant but this is one pregnancy symptom I will not miss ha ha  x

Wow...4am is a killer :( How many weeks pregnant are you? x

I COMPLETELY understand. I have 3 little ones under the age of 3 and I can't fall asleep till around 2am, sometimes not till 6am, then I am up constantly to pee or get comfortable and thenmy kids are up between 7 and 8 am....I swear I will go crazy....hang in there...

Yep, I am this way, sleep better during the day and I have been up by 4 am even after previously going to the bathroom like 4 times, that turns out to be because I had a UTI I didn't know I had till I went in for my check up this week.. But I do know how you feel. It is just getting you ready for when the baby comes...

Im 34 weeks. and its driving me nuts.. im sat here now with braxton hicks, and a banging headache. knowing i am never gona sleep... even in the day i dont sleep....its taking its toll...

Aww I totally feel your pain, my average bedtime is around 3am every night, I feel like the walking dead because I'm exhausted all the time, but even when I try to take a nap I can't fall alseep! My husband came into our guest room this morning since I have been going in there to sleep quite a bit after rolling around in our bed feeling like I'm keeping him awake all night, and said it hurt his feelings that I wasn't sleeping with him lately... I wanted to punch him in the face!!! It hurts my feelings that I live on four hours of sleep a night buddy so deal with it!!! It's a sad feeling when you know you are going to get more sleep when the baby actually arrives, everyone thinks I'm crazy for thinking that but I know it's true, at least I will be able to take a nap and go to bed at ten when the baby is sleeping!!!

Thanks for your replies everyone. Good to know I'm not the only one experiencing this.

Roll on the birth of the baby.....mind you, who am I kidding, sleep will most likely become extremely rare at that pont lol :dohh:

Actually, I got more sleep after my babies were born and safe and healthy. I would feed and put them to sleep and sleep some myself. Granted, you don't get more than 2 hours at one time for a bit, but it can add up if you sleep while the baby does. And believe me, you will be exhausted enough to do just that! Good luck to you!
