I drank the sugar drink right up- So freaking sweet! Minutes later if that I got all dizzy, shaky like I was vibrating and my heart was racing- and my blood pressure was high- All they had me do was sip water..
they still never found my Maternity 1 results from 20 week scan- im not between 28-29 weeks..
they havent had any pf the results from the last two months! The high risk hospital had them do all this blood work and scan on my liver and they dont have them!
Get this... they took more blood from me- I knew for the sugar test but not for what else.. well they actually asked me what test t=did they just draw for cause nothing was written down.. Im like- I dont know!! Im never told what is going on even when I ask!! so they stuck me a second time and took more blood- I still dont know what else they were testing for- one of the test she did tell me is one they were suppose to take last month and did take but no one knew the ressults- hey have lost so many of my test-

Its really freaking scary!! I had a different doc this time- it's the health dept. you get what you get- She was nice but kept cutting me off - she did notice that my 20 week scan was suppose to be re done and despite me begging for it they refused so she ordered a scan in 2 weeks.. said my baby has been measuring big-
well I have been asking them to do the sugar drink test way before today cause I have a high A1C.. and I told them at 20 weeks the high risk place wanted the scan re done!!!
Im gonna lose my mind- I havent been able to find a place that will take medicaid- Im stuck there it seems..

sorry for all the typos- i still feel out of it- Another thing- this whole pregnancy I couldn't stand sweet- last two weeks I keep craving sugar things.. sweet drinks.. wonder what that means..

I felt a bit ill/shaky for 10 minutes or so during my 1 hour test, but it passed pretty quickly and my results were normal. They took blood to test iron levels at the same time, maybe that's what they were testing you for? They just want to make sure you aren't anemic.

I felt terrible all day after the test and passed just fine. I could barely drive myself home.

When I did it in 2010 it was so bad, I felt sick, dizzy and thought I was going to pass out. My blood showed high sugar, I went back for the second time and it was fine. With this Lo I made sure I had protein rich dinner before my fast 8-12 hrs and I was okay.

I felt horrible for the rest of the day with mine, I slept all arvo, and woke up feeling hungover

I am also high risk. I took the glucose test at 16 weeks and another at 28 weeks. The first time, as soon as I drank it, I felt like I was going to barf and $&*#! On myself, was extremely shaky, couldn't walk, etc. I passed but my levels came out lower than the standard range. The second time I took it, I only felt a little tired and I got the same results. The doctor never said anything about the results so I assume I'm okay. My blood pressure kept dropping one night when I was in the hospital for preterm labor though. .. I don't know why but they didn't seem too concerned after the second night. I hate being left in the dark... I understand how you're feeling.

When I had with daughter I felt like that, I had one yesterday to and felt yuck. My test results with daughter were fine. I have had 2hr test both times. I felt absolutely exhausted afterwards to

It should be made illegal to make a pregnant woman fast. I mean really. I was told not to eat or drink anything so I didn't and then I get to the clinic to do the test the girl who was taking my blood told me it was okay to drink water. I was like, are you serious?! I felt so awful afterwards.

thanks for all the replies! I was so worried i felt like I was going to pass out or my heart was going to beat right out of my chest! It took forever to fleep but I felt better after I did-
I have liver and kidney issues and blood clotting issue so they do alot of blood work- I am just never told what- one time they told me the high risk hospital ordered alot of extra blood work and I had to come in right away but the nurse who called me told me she cant even pronounce the test and didnt know what they were.. Doesnt matter cause they cant fimd any of the results-
I looked at the paper work- it was a mid wife a saw this time- at lest she thought the baby needed to be seen again with the baby measuring ahead and that they didnt get much info from the 20 week scan. what pisses me off is the high risk hospital I had to go to for the 20 week scan told me that day it needed to be re done- that they told my reg doc it needed to be re done and I called a few times to make sure the would re do it and they refused!
I was already told by one of the doctors there to stop being a brat- it's the health department and no one there really wants to see me anyway so be happy with what I get!!

Are you going to the HD because of lack of insurance? If so have you tried getting on pregnancy medicaid? You need to make a complaint to the head of the HD. That treatment is awful. I'm really sorry you are going through this.
