I am early on into the 2nd trimester (turned 15 wks today) and for the last week it has suddenley been getting difficult to sleep, and last night I woke up in the early hours with an awful pain on my left side and left side of my back.

I dont have much of a bump yet and im used to weight as im a chunky girl, so confused why i am already hurting and finding it hard to sleep?

In one week i have gone from sleeping as soon as hit the pillow, to now not ever finding a comfortable position. I sleep on my left where i can as that is the preferred side when your pregnant, but no position on any side is comfy,

please shed some light on this for me people!

EXACTLY the same as me! I am a couple of days ahead of you and a big girl too. I've had left hip pain travelling down the left leg at night for the past 4 nights.

I googled it and it could be connected to a nerve in the tummy that the uterus is pushing on. Completely harmless but bloody annoying.

Will either get worse or better depending on if the bump moves past the nerve.

I'm still going to check it all out with the MW on Wednesday for my 16wk app.

mine is more in my back, but again i guess it might be a nerve. on my right side ive had an awful pain in my butt cheek for most of the pregnancy- u think the baby might move about sometimes and relocate lol

The pain in your bum sounds like sciatica. Your doctor should be able to give you something to ease it x
