So im now most definately in the 2ww but im wondering,

This month ive been using opk's 3 times a day at 11am, 2pm and 5pm to ensure i would catch LH surge so i began testing at cd10 and began getting a line, now the line didnt get really dark but was getting stronger then on cd 14 the line was alot fainter and by cd15 it had vanished and has remained the same. So ive either not ovulated, which im not sure is possible considering i was getting lines albeit faint ones or, and this is my question, is it possible i ovulated but still missed the surge? I know it can happen very fast but with me testing 3 times a day is it possible to get only a faint line then have my surge inbetween? Im so confused and truly gutted as ive done everything i can this month and feel im out anyway:( kx

What type of OPKs are you using hun? I was using ICs and never seemed to get a proper positive, so this month I bought the Clearblue digis and used that when the lines got dark on the ICs. I then got a smiley face on the digi, but would have siad that the IC didn't look positive.

I would say that your surge was probably CD13 and you o'd on CD14.

    Hope that helps a bit!!!

    Thanks girls,

LaraJJ - im using IC's too so thats really helped thank you, i was more concerned that i wasnt ovulating so hearing that the IC's just havent shown a positive has really perked me up.

coffee lover - im happy if its just a case of ive missed the surge as its happened overnight too, just was more concned i didnt ovulate at all so thank you. We have dtd more this month than ever lol ive felt so posititve this month and for the first time in so long felt i was dtd purely because i wanted to and didnt have baby making on the brain so have been more relaxed so im sure we covered all bases so to speak lol

Thanks again to you both, hoping thats the case and ive just missed the surge, would be heartbroken if i hadnt ovulated. Kx

Kaylynn -- I have similar issues with OPKs because I have PCOS and no matter what time of the month I typically get a faint line on OPKs, so it's kinda hard to tell when my surge is. What I started doing was charting/BBT and between that and CM I can see when I ovulated based on those changes. It seems like kind of a pain, but it's worth it for me just to know for sure the day I O'd. Good luck!!!

Based on what I've read/experienced, if you have no medical/fertility issues, you should not get any line on the OPK unless you are approaching ovulation. Hope that helps! :)

I always classed my faint lines as POS+ and they did correspond with my FF chart, so id say class it as a POS+ especially if if got darker then disappeared.

thank you, before having my dd it took over a yesr to conceive so i had laparoscopy etc and my gynacologist said everything looked perfect, didnt get as far as any other fertility testing as i got my bfp on my own but as far as i know there are no issues and af is pretty much like clockwork so all in all i really think ive just missed LH (how rude that after waiting all that time it didnt even notify me of its arrival lol) so hopefully ive still dtd at the correct times. Thanks again for all the replies and lots and lots of luck to you all Kx
