The one I have is Campbell's all natural, low sodium vegetable and noodle (its actually in some kind of single serving container not can). It looks so delicious for some reason but I haven't really eaten anything canned during pregnancy. I don't have enough energy to get up and make fresh soup today.

It sounds quick, easy and healthy

I can see why it wouldn't be.

I've practically lived off Heinz tomato soup since becoming pregnant and my baby is fine:thumbup:

Haven't a clue why you wouldn't think it was safe??? It's absolutely fine I eat it all the time

Thanks girls!!!

I don't know why it wouldn't be safe either... But food rules are crazy during pregnancy and I thought if it wasn't, someone on bnb would know!! Lol

there is some high amount of MSG which I heard is bad but you can torture me and I still wouldn't know what it is. I actually gave myself "eat-everything-you-want" ticket this pregnancy. Everything is fine in moderation :)

That's my comfort food of choice but must have Mothers Pride Scottish Plain Loaf for dunking!! :haha:

I'm pretty sure the only (possible) concern would be the amount of sodium. As long as you're not being monitored for high blood pressure - go for it.

but keep in mind, tons of sodium can also cause an increase in swelling, which is never fun.

I have heard that BPA can leach into canned foods. I am not sure how to find out if the brand you like uses BPA in it's can liners.

There is a bit of debate, somthing about the metal and its bpa contents and the fact that canned food isnt air sealed before closing like a jar is but its one of those "this is our theory but we cant be bothered to prove it" type things.
BPA (bisphenol A) is in everything these days so you cant actualy avoide it.
Plus you say its not actualy in a tin so I say go for it if thats what your hungry for.
