is it SCH? Need help urgently!

Hi everyone,

I'm 5w3d pregnant and I started spotting/bleeding arond 2-3 days ago but yesterday it increased and had clots. I went to the Dr. yesterday and had a 3D ultrasound & the report said the following: Retro chorionic mass below the gestation sac measuring 2x2cm mostly organized haematoma. Is that the same thing as SCH?

I went to the Dr. and he said that it wasn't a viable pregnancy & that I should have a D&C or take some sort of pills to clear the pregnancy. But if it is SCH, my pregnancy still has a chance right?

The report also said that the gestational sac is irregular fundal with chorionic tissues condensations all around. Any idea what that means? other than that the size of the sac is good for 5w.

I haven't taken the pills yet but I'm extremely tired and emotionally drained. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you.

I don't know if what u have is a sch but if it is then the pregnant has a perfectly fine chance. I had one at 16 weeks. A large one. And baby Is fine. And most people with sch go on to have normal healthy pregnancy.
I would ask ur doctor to explain to u what the problem is in terms u can understand and not medical talk.
If ur still not happy then u dont have to have a d&c do u?? U could wait for things to happen naturally. U should discuss this with ur doc tho xx

I would ask the doctor to explain it better to you and ask all the questions that you want. I'm no doctor but SCH are common and lots of women go on to have a healthy pregnancy but the fact they noted that the gestational sac is irregular, I don't think is good. Best of luck to you and I hope you be your questions answered.

Docs located a large subchirionic hematoma in my baby's sac at 6 weeks. I started spotting at 5 weeks then bled heavily at random times almost weekly. They did not recommend me to terminate. I carried the baby fine... growth was great... but the blood clot kept growing along with the baby. Finally my membranes ruptured and started to leak little by little at 15 weeks. I knew it was my waters, but the doctor would not check or take me serious... he kept suggesting that i had peed my pants. Finally at the emergency room after a huge water rupture, they found out after several scans that I had very little to no amniotic fluid left. They gave me a terribly grim prognosis and was up to me to decide. My son was cremated after birth at 23 weeks.

But the point of my story is that you should be the one to decide what to do with your pregnancy. It will the one of the hardest decisions you'll ever make in your life, so be sure to talk to lots of specialists and get lots of different opinions. The difference between you and me is that you are still very very early. You don't know what will happen to your clot. It could bleed out, get absorbed... essentially not affect your baby. The problem with that though, is if it doesnt work out, you get a sense of false hope that drags on and on....
