As of late me and me and my DH have become very frustrated with our TTC situation, as I'm sure some of you can relate to. We started trying back in October of 2011. We got pregnant very late November of 2011 and miscarried in the beginning of February. We then went on to get pregnant in April and miscarry the first few days of June 2011. Now it's almost April, so 10 months since our last miscarriage. My cycles have shortened from 60 days to about 35 and I'm frequently having 5 or 6 days of spotting in between my periods.

Everyone says to wait a year without a pregnancy, but if you include miscarriages we've been trying for about 1.5 years and it's starting to make me quite depressed, especially with everyone around me announcing a birth or pregnancy.

My question is - am I able to seek help at this point in time? I live in the US, so don't know if that makes a difference. Do I call my regular doctor, OB, or an RE right off the bat? How do I go about making an appointment? Sorry for all the questions, but I'm clueless about this stuff!

If certain things make a difference, I've tried OPK's but they almost always come out positive, I've always had very irregular, long cycles, I track fertility signs but have had less noticeable ovulation signs than normal the past 4 months or so, but have always been able to get pregnant within 3 cycles i the past - I can't figure out what's going on lately.

Thanks for any help I get!!

I would call your OB to make an appointment. I never talked with my PCP so I don't know if they would help or not. My OB put me on Clomid, and when that didn't work he refered me to an RE. In the US there aren't a lot of places where infertility is cover by insurance, but with an OB it is, so I would see if your OB can help. Just call the office and ask for a consult. They will probably ask what it is regarding and you can be specific or you can just say family planning. If the OB thinkis you need to go straight to an RE they will tell you. I am sorry you are having such a hard time getting pregnant and sustaining the pregnancy. Good luck in your journey.
