Is it true? Line darker than control line = twins?

Okay now I'm nervous. My husband really wants twins this time around (I don't think I could handle it). Last pregnancy my tests got progressively darker over time but never darker than the control line, this time, I had a clear line at 11DPO and this one at 15DPO (today, and this was the 3rd time I peed today). Anyone have a line this dark? Was it twins?

They do not run in either of our families so it would be very unlikely but blows my mind how dark it is!

I'm not sure if it's true but maybe take another in a couple of days? Sometimes the level of dye in each test is different. As an example, I used two tests with one urine sample and one was lighter and one was darker so think it was just the dye in the tests.

We always said we wanted twins but after running around after my toddler I'm not sure how I'd cope with twins!!!

Doesnt really mean anything. Mine was that dark around 14-15DPO and Im having one little girl :)

My line was so dark on mine, that it used almost all the dye and the control line was faint. I had only the one boy, but I did have very strong pregnancy symptoms my whole pregnancy. Good luck.

The orientation will not work right, for some reason it is upside down.

Exactly! After chasing my almost 2 year old the thought of twins makes me think I'd go insane! I'm also very petite and I think anymore weight in my belly than 1 would break me :haha:

Thanks Jcliff, very reassuring, I'm going to assume it was just a very dye filled test :) was my last test in the house so will wait until my 8 week u/s to see!

I guess I should prepare myself, feeling pretty good still! And your test is crazy dark, wow!

I happened to have darker lines, and twins, but I think that it's coincidence :)

Thank god no! I only had the one baby in there.

Not necessarily true. I took a test at 9DPO and it was surprisingly dark considering how early. My tests got darker VERY quickly and by 11 DPO the test line was already as dark as the control. Several days later, the test line was very bold and the control was faint. We just had an early u/s yesterday and only one gestational sac and yolk. :)

no i dont think its true (i dont know for certain as I always use digital as i trust them more and it says I am pregnant or not pregnant as the line ones you cant always be certain)

No, it'd definitely not true. I had the same thing at 11DPO and just one baby :)

I dont believe it to be true, my tests were always dark and i only had singletons:)

My test were as dark, if not darker both times around that time and one baby both times :) I don't think increased symptoms or darker lines have any indication on twin pregnancy.
