Me and my hubby are both a bit geeky and love the name leela for a girl (like in futurama and dr who) .. I dont think its too different from a lot of names like it .but is it too nerdy..does it 'go' with our surname which is Stevens?

this naming business is hard :)

I think that is a beautiful name! I don't think any name can be too geeky.

Leela is quite similar to my favourite girl name at the moment which is Lyla :) x

I love the name Leela! I don't think its too geeky at all. I think its pretty.

it a lovely name, only one letter different from what ive picked for my daughter and whereas i did think of futurama i think its a strong name in itself (Leela on futurama name is actually Taronga which would be weird though lol)

I love Leela (and Futurama) I like Leila which can also be pronounced Leela apparently, I did want to use it for my LO but let OH choose as I chose middle name after a friend. I don't think it's too geeky at all!!

Not to geeky at all, it's a great name. I think it works with your last name as well. But then when I read your last name, I immediately thought "Lyla", I think that makes an even better combination somehow.

Love Leela and Lyla/Lila. Not geeky it's cute!! X

Leela is very cute and not geeky at all! Even if, it's still a cute name.

It's pretty and I wouldn't say geeky at all and yes it goes well with your surname.

:flower:

I don't think it is nerdy at all but I've never seen futurama or dr who. It's pretty.

I love it! It's one of my choices but would be spelt Lila but pronounced same as yours! x
