LO has been super drooly, just out of the blue one day. Yesterday and today he's been a nightmare to put to sleep during the day, waking as soon as I leave (I nurse him to sleep in side-lying position on my bed), will stay hours on my breast just LOOKING at me, not sleeping, coughs a few times a day and sneezes, puts counterpressure on gums with his arm or my shoulder...

Very easily agitated lately and not sleeping well in the daytime all, he will cry blue murder if I set him down even to fold a diaper for him. I try to rub his belly and burp im well nothing seems to work.

I rubbed his gums and did not feel anything so I'm at a loss

Mine started getting teething symptoms at about ten weeks. Her gums would even bulge out white and you could see the teeth threatening to emerge underneath, and then it would go away again. Happened on and off until she was 5 months when she got her first tooth! Even now, it takes absolutely ages of on/off dribbling and gnawing before anything actually happens. We're currently having this with the final molars. It's almost over ...

So yes, it's perfectly possible. Even slight movement in the gums can drive them crazy, if that's the sort of baby you have!

My wee one started teething at about 6 weeks. She's 6.5 months and cut two teeth yesterday. It is entirely possible to start teething young but it doesn't actually mean they are going to cut teeth. We used anbusol which worked miracles!

It is possible. 8 weeks is also about when a baby starts producing more saliva, but they don't yet have the reflex to swallow it so they end up drooling a lot.

Its very possible. My daughter got her first tooth at 3 months

Thanks but the drooling seems to has subsided today (?) The other day I checked on him in his pack n play and it was like a river of drool pouring onto his chest.

And I found a white-head looking thing on the front left side of his gum, tried to wipe it off but it's still there, doesn't look like thrush.

He mouths his forearm though some times. Can the pain come and go or is it likely something else, some normal baby-ism?

Certainly with mine, the pain seemed to come and go, as did the drooling. She always did a little bit, but there was a clear difference between that and the teething drool, which would be seemingly neverending!

My DD is 3 mths old and has been drooling for a few weeks now. The gums are not even swollen yet let alone feeling anything on them. She drools more.some days and less on others. I dont think anything will happen soon though.

She drools more when on her tummy 😊

Who knows!

The tell tale sign for my girls was the rosy cheeks! Thats when I really knew they were teething!

My first was drooling from 3 months old! I don't remember any other symptoms but the droolng was out of control! Use to carry around ten bibs which was never enough lol! He didn't get first tooth till he was 10 months x

Could be! I was convinced my daughter was teething early on but she never got any teeth until she was 11 months. And when she did get her teeth she's got them all through with no symptoms at all apart from chewing on her fingers.

I think my son is teething at the moment so I'll have to see what happens!
