Is my body playing cruel tricks on me?

Im 17 days past ovulation with no signs of AF but still testing negative!

I feel sick with nerves and hope that I might actually finally be pregnant but now starting to wonder if my body is just playing with me. Im trying really hard not to get excited as I know that means that the dissapointment will be worse.

I first had trouble not ovulating and long cycles, but that calmed down and then started having short luteal phase around 10 days but have never had more than 12 days. I have been taking vitamin B6 this whole cycle and so thought that maybe the luteal phase would be longer but can it be this long?

I thought that I would ask you lovely ladies for advice. Im quite sure I have ovulated this month and have already got over the dissapoinment when my temps were on their way down at 11 days and I fully expected AF the following day.

What happens in a phantom pregnancy? Do you still get high temps? Am I going crazy? The link to my chart on FF is below, I would be really gratefull for any advice!

Your temps are still nicely above the cover line- so i would say u are still not out!

Did you test with FMU??

Hi Babyloulou, thanks for replying.

The first test that I did on wednesday (14DPO) was in the afternoon, but this mornings test was with FMU.

Im just keeping my fingers crossed but still cant stop thinking that its just a cruel joke!

Hi hun, I have heard that some women don't get there until 18dpo.
Test again tomorrow with FMU, if this is still negative, I would contact your doc to get a blood test done.
Your chart looks fab and you are definitely 17dpo, you doc will be able to tell you if you are pg with a blood test.

Have to say that my chart did surprise me with how low temps went before the big O. Never been that low before though maybe to do with the vitamin cocktail I decided to try this month. Perhaps it helped with oestrogen levels or something?

ok, take a look at day 32... I think this is an implantation dip, therefore although 17dpo, you're only 4 days past implantation. if you assume the companies expect implantation on 7 dpo, yours was 6 days later, so instead of bfp at 12-15dpo, yours could well be 18-21dpo, depending on how quick it doubles. I'd expect to see your temps now go up above 36.5.

Well, I tested again this morning and its is still negative and I am 19 dpo but no AF.

Feeling a bit fed up that my body is back to playing up when I thought that I had got it working normally!

Maybe i'll test again on wednesday

Well I went to see my gp this morning and she wasnt helpful at all. All she anted to know was the first day of my last period and kept quoting that I should get my period 12-14 days after I ovulate!

I showed her my chart and said that I know I ovulated this cycle (as that was previously a problem) and that I was 19dpo. She just said to test again in a weeks time.

How frustrating!

Oh, what a shame your doc never gave you a blood test. What a pain in the ass. I hope you get your you're just going to be one of those ladies who reeeaaallyy have to wait for it!

hi im in exactly the same position but i am about 3wks late i had a blood test done and am waiting for the results i had unprotected sex again at the start of the month. I have had really thick cm with a slight pinkish colour when wiping a week ago and literally all the symtoms. My doctor said it might be to early to tell or it could just all be in my head makes me feel like im going crazy. I know how you feel it is a horrible situation to be in im getting to the point where i just want my af to come to sort this out. I haven't checked my temp although i am geting hot flushes should your temp be high all the time then if you are pregnant? xxx

I can't believe you've not got a positive test yet. This must be so frustrating for you. Hang in there and if no positive HPT then go back to the docs on Monday coming. Your temps are really good, I can't understand it

Its really starting to get to me now. I did another hpt yesterday and was negative. I am forcing myself not to do it every morning as each negative I get, I really makes me feel fed up. I just dont understand what my body is doing and cant help thinking that something is wrong. Im finding it hard to stay positive but maybe it was late implantation and its just taking time for the hormones to catch up?

Will try again on sunday and then go to docs on monday morning what ever the result i guess! Even fertilityfriend says I need to visit my gp with so many high temps and no positive!! Never thought I would see that!

2kidsandttc it sounds promising, i'll keep my fingers crossed for you! Do let us know how you get on.

Hey, fluffy! I was pointed this way by another BnBer! I'm in the EXACT SAME position as you! How that's possible, I don't know! My chart clearly shows my O date (as does yours) and my temp is still high at 23dpo with BFN's! WTF? Seriously! Maybe we can get through this together! I wish I had an answer for you, but instead I just have an "I understand.. No, no... Really! I do!!" to offer!

This is crazy!! I have just looked at both of your charts! Fluffystar and megg33k both of them look amazing! I can't believe you both have such high temps but both getting BFN's. You definitely need to go to the docs and ask for blood tests! Do it now!!!

I don't know where fluffy is, but I can't get one yet. Doc requires 2 missed periods before she'll do anything. Getting a new doc can take 2-3 months or longer just to get in. I'm just relaxing and waiting it out... taking my prenatals and don't have any bad habits that would be detrimental to a pregnancy. So, I'm trying to remain calm and put my impatience aside!

Hoping non-FRERs will tell a better story on Friday! Hoping!

Well, I think I may be on my way out this time round. Had really bad cramps yesterday morning at 6am which made me get up and go to the toilet to check...but nothing. They only lasted 10 minutes which was quite strange. Nothing all day either but my temp is down this morning. I guess whatever was keeping my temps up, be it a little one or a cyst, is going.

I am almost pleased. Surely I cant possibly be pregnant with a negative test at 24dpo and if it was a cyst I would just have to wait until it went and AF arrives so that I could start a new cycle (I did lots of google searches!! lol). In my mind I have moved myself onto the next cycle and been fantasizing about my new due date if I were to ovulate on time and conceive. A few BIG "ifs" I know but it keeps me going!!

Well, I know all too well how relieving it would be if AF seemed to be on her way. I totally get that! If you're right, best of luck with your next cycle, honey!

I haven't gotten a normal waking time temp in 4 days because I'm sleeping funny... Like, I went to bed at 8:30pm and woke up at 4:30am. All my last few temps were at 2:30, 4:30, 6:00, 6:30... and my normal waking time is about 12:00 NOON! But I imagine the trend is still the same... and they don't go down for long... down and up and down and up! I'm still at a loss! I'll let you know how it turns out for me!

Well, I guess its all over now. AF came this morning. I still dont have any explanaion as to why LP was 25 days long but at least I can start a fresh now!
