I have awful bloating and it's giving me a lot of pain, when I trygoogle peppermint cordial in pregnancy it's say yes on some sites and no on others. So does anyone know if I can try any? X

Peppermint is fine, even the essential oil is fine (although don't put it on your skin its quite strong) the amount of actual peppermint needed to flavour a cordial is not alot because its so strong. The majority of mint sweets out there have actual peppermint oil in them for flavour its cheaper to use the proper stuff than to synthesize it! I ate alot of mint imperials, polos and other random mints during my bloaty time and also to ward off morning sickness and nausea. I swear by peppermint! If the sources that say don't use the cordial worry you, then stick to polos or mint imperials, they will have the same effect and they are sold everywhere and if they were dangerous for pregnancy there would have been total uproar about it. Just typing this is giving me peppermint cravings lol! :hugs:

I've always swore by peppermint cordial for tummy upsets but I cant get any from anywhere. I've been to supermarkets, corner shops and no one seems to sell it. Do you no where I can get some from? I've been having peppermint tea but it doesnt do the trick :hugs: x

I love peppermint cordial too! I'm sure I've had it from Morrisions in the past..? If not, any large Tescos will have it. I've bought it from a local off licence before, on the off chance they'd have it but it does seem to be a rare thing to find and only ever seen 1 brand of it!

I used to have it from morrisons too, but now they dont sell it. And asda dont sell it, I think I'll have to have a look in tescos then or search in all the local off licenses and corner shops, lol coz I've got really bad nausea, not actually being sick yet, but I no the peppermint cordial may help :hugs: x

Hope you find some and start to feel better soon. :hugs: Got me thinking about it too, might have to add that to shopping list tomorrow. :)

One of the local corner shops near me sells it, the schweppes one. When looking for it in a supermarket try the area that has the mixers rather than the fruit cordials, my local had it next to the tonic water and such. I got some but I still prefer polos and mint imperials lol

Iv seen it in bargain booze morrisons tesco and little corner shops near the gins and vodkas :) thanks a lot girls, didn't know it helped morning sickness too! X

I've just bought some of this today from Morrisons. Maybe a silly question but I'm confused as to how you drink it? Do I mix it with cold water, or hot?
