Hubby and I were talking names for no2 and I ruled out Martha as being too old fashioned. He said our lg name, Phoebe, was an old lady name but I've never thought this? It's quite uncommon here so I don't associate it with an age group. I actually don't know of any others except Phoebe from friends lol

I don't care if it is as I still love it but curious what others think?

I don't think it is. But then that's probably because the only Phoebe I've ever known is only 4! It's not a name I think of as old lady ish anyway.

And I love Martha, I think it's really sweet.

No I don't think it's old lady sounding at all, I think it fits more in the traditional/classic category. X

I don't think of it at as an old lady name!

I don't think phoebe or Martha r old fashioned!! A mummy friend off here of mine has a phoebe and Martha xx

I don't see Phoebe as an old lady name. I think it's one of those names that doesn't contour an image of any particular age group. I can imagine it fitting at any stage of life.
I also LOVE Martha. It was my top choice for DD but hubby wasn't as keen. Phoebe and Martha together sound classic and traditional xx

Thanks ladies.

Actually hubby's suggestions were Martha, Rose or Amelia. I do like them but don't love them. Also I don't think he'd realise I'd twig they were all Dr Who companions!

Love it! I did the same. We've used Rose and Amelia! He clocked on when I suggested Martha and Clara this time though

No way! My friends girl is called Phoebe and it's so such a lovely name.
