Today my baby girl has eaten at normal times and fell asleep from being what i considered full but then towards the end of the day she kept waking up and crying chewing on her fists and refusing her pacifier however when i'd try to feed her she wouldn't take that either....she did have quite a BIG diaper full later on tonight so maybe it was just that she really needed to poo but someone told me that if she's chewing on her fists it could mean that she's not getting enough milk? is this true or could it have just been that she needed the relief that the big big diaper brought her?

Hiya,

The behaviour you describe sounds perfectly normal, as we went through this too. As your daughter develops and grows she needs your body to increse her supply of milk. Your milk needs to be more in volume and richer. So, anytime she starts chewing her fists after a feed, just pop her to your breast to let her suckle. Even if you think you're 'empty', it will stimulate you to make more milk for her the next day.

It sounds like natures way to me.... although I'm sure a big poo helped relieve her too!

It is tough, especially as she may be on you all day/night, but it wont last! You're doing so well!

Yea i think thats pretty normal, she's just as Freya said she's increasing your milk so she can eat more :) Also my girly chews on anything before she has a poo ha ha so could have just been that too.
