Is this a miscarriage?

Hello new to this so excuse me if make a mistake. I haven't had a period since end of November done few HPT but negative haven't did one for about 4-6 weeks. Last 10 days bleeding quite light, usually just when wipe myself rarely on a pad. Yesterday however woke up with horrundus back pain and cramping and heavy bleeding, thought was start of period so put tampon jn, few hours later went to toilet and had leaked onto pad whilst still wearing tampon and passed some huge clots throughout the day and then a weird shaped thing in the evening ? I can post pics if need too. Was it a miscarriage?
