I'm 5 weeks postpartum and today I started spotting again. Now all evening I've been having what feel like period cramps. The bleeding is light and brown so I don't know if this is a period or not.. But the cramps sure do feel exactly like period ones. How annoying. Anyone have brown blood with their first period? I'm so confused.
Is this a period?

I had bleeding/spotting off and on until somewhere around 7 weeks postpartum. I don't know if it could be a period this early or not. I haven't had a period yet since finally the spotting all stopped but I'm breastfeeding and don't normally get a period until I quit nursing.
Edited to add I also felt cramps with the spotting/bleeding. I think it can be quite normal as everything is getting back to where it should be.
