Hi

I've always been a little peturbed about my temps towards the onset of AF and was just wondering whether this was normal or a bad sign.

After O, I feel a slight temp increase and it usually stays around, but then 3-4 days before AF is due I wake up every morning burning up. And I mean burning. (TMI alert) I get a film of sweat over my chest and it wakes me up. My OH says it wakes him up too as I'm like a radiator. Then after 3-4 days like this, the next day it'll disappear and then the :witch: arrives.

I then get two days of horrendous cramps (only for an hour or so, then nothing till next day and another hour or so)

I always though that elevated temps were a good sign leading up to AF, but I'm beginning to think that mine are a bad sign as they always mean AF.

V.V.V.V.V.V. confused - help?

Hey chick

Not really sure?? Sorry not the answer you wanted!

I know your temp is meant to be raised after O and during AF?? My temp is raised but drops when AF comes and then drops further when it finishes?? I know raised temps are a sign of pregnancy and for me, drop in temp (normally 0.5 degree) indicates :witch: is on her way? Have you asked your GP? :hugs:

Thanks for the reply.

Docs appointment at the beginning of December, but was hoping someone would have the answers for me!

Hi Hun

do you actually take your temp around this time?
cos I always feel much hotter before and during af - I end up stripping off in the night it gets so bad (i usually go to bed with a hoodie and socks on cos I am always cold (god no wonder we cant get preggers its not exactly a sexy look:rofl:!!)) and wake up with my hair slightly damp cos I am sweating BUT my actual temps go down at this time - and then go down further once AF arrives. SO although I feel hotter durign this period my actual BBT goes down. Have had all my tests done and am completely normal so there is nothing to worry about hun.

Bx x :hugs:

I tried temping for about 4 days back in July, but the thermometer I bought wound OH up too much so I scrapped it. And because I get this heat in the 2WW I kind of thought I was lucky and didn't need to. How wrong can you be?

I was feeling abit icky last night and was going hot and cold, so left the BBT by the bed last night. OH left early this morning (phew) and I woke up really hot and sweaty again, but took my temp and it was a normal'ish 36.6!

So big thank you, guess I'll have to get some cotton wool taped over the beeper and try the temping again!! Thanks you :happydance:

Big
