Is this right...

I just wanted some other mums opinions. My LO is 16 weeks old and he has 5 feeds a day, he has 7oz's each time every 3hours. his last bottle is between 10-11 at night and he sleeps through the night now until about 10am.
He weighed 7lb3oz at birth and now weighs 14lbs1oz.

Do the feeds sound about right for his age?
I'm worried that maybe I'm not feeding him enough as he goes all night without a feed now.
Just wondered if this sounds about right for his age or not?

Omar sleeps over for 8-10 hrs without a feed. So I think it's ok. I tried to dreamfeed him but only made him awake so I skipped it. Unless he wakes up for a feed, I wouldnt really bother him. Hope this would help.

Joe was taking 5 x 7oz bottles at that age too. He's nearly 5 months now and takes 5 x 8oz bottles, with the last being at around 9pm and then he sleeps through til about 7am without waking.

My LO is having 5 feeds a day, she takes anywhere between 6-8oz each feed. She has her last feed about 8.30pm and sleeps through until 7-8am

George was having 5 bottles a day 7 ounces, now hes dropped a bottle and has 4 a day plus baby rice at teatime. now he sleeps through from 930 till 730

Bryson has 6 bottles a day at 5oz each time and he will be 4 months old Monday. He has been eating like this since before 3 months old. He was 6lbs 14oz at birth, and now weighs about 15lbs. So, yeah, I would say your LO is doing quite well. All babies are different and have the differences in how many ounces they take in in a day.


Rule of thumb: Take your babies weight now and multiply it by 2.5 and that is how many ounces he should be eating. This is the standard in the US.

My LO is 15lbs. So I take 15 times 2.5 which comes to 37.5oz a day that my LO should take in. But, he doesn't. He usually takes anywhere from 30 to 35 ounces a day.

Bobby has 5 feeds a day of 7oz. He sleeps from 8pm until about 6.30am and he weighs 13lbs. Your LO sounds fine to me hun xx

Seems like I was worrying over nothing as usual

I think Joshua is starting to go through a growth spurt as he seems to be wanting a feed sooner than when it is due!
Apparently there is a growth spurt at 4 months from what I have read?

There sure is! Apparently it's quite a big one too!
