I am a regular exerciser even before I fell pregnant with LO, I was doing 4 days a week in the gym. I have cut it back to two days in gym and one day doing pilates thats 180mins a week of exercise and I was going to join a spinning class. I am 22 weeks pregnant am I doing too much?? I have loadsa energy to burn but am I putting LO at risk??

No I think you're fine, just make sure you're keeping well hydrated and you aren't overheating, and ask your midwife/ob about what you highest bpm should be, with the spin class I know the biggest thing they worry about with pregnant women is your center of gravity is off and you could fall off so I would be careful if you're standing up ;)

I don't think that's too much at all! I think, like jlw said, the issues to watch out for are overheating and your heart rate. I think i was told to keep my heart rate below 140 bbp, but that might have been specific to the first trimester...

I also don't think its too much - you obviously were a regular exerciser before you got pregnant and that's the main thing (i.e. its not advised to start exercising more or do new things when pregnant). I wish I could exercise more, I did in my last pregnancy but now I have my toddler and work full time I just about manage 1-2 pregnancy fitness classes a week :(

You're the best judge of what's too much. If you feel good then continue. My doc said if you get BH contractions then you're doing too much. So far with my classes I've felt great - and my low blood pressure feels much better when I work out.
I've been pretty lazy and not getting to the gym but I do noon hour classes at work...yoga Monday's, kick box Tuesday's, pilates Wednesday's and HIIT class Thursday's. I think it's also helped keep the weight off because I tend to eat a lot.

Good on you for staying in shape, your delivery will be easier because you'll have kept your muscle tone and recovery will be quick. Keep it up mama!

it's not too much at all, you know your body best so you'll know what your limits are.
