Have any of you gus taken tylenol cold??

I haven't because I believe it has phenylephrine in it, which makes me really ill... I was looking at all the labels a few days ago and came away with saline spray and sucrets. :grr: But my dr okay'd any tylenol products for a cold. I think it's alright.
Edit: BTW, I have a scan on Oct 27th, too! :) Although for us, it won't be a gender scan. :)

What's sucrets?? Tylenol pm makes me feel bad but I've got a cold I cannot kick ughh

Sucrets are like throat lozenges or cough drops... I got them even though I didn't have a cough, but they help with a sore throat and help clear your sinuses, too. And it's progressed to a cough now anyway. :grr:
I don't know why regular Halls aren't on the list. They're a lot cheaper than sucrets.

i have a nasty cold too... i havent took anything for it but starting to get a lil better now allthe nasty stuff is comin up tmi.....

What list, I have a terrible cough and all I have is cherry ricola do you know of those are on the list

In the paper my doctors gave me it says you can take Sudafed after 14 or 16 weeks I think it is, not sure about the Tylenol cold though (I havent taken either by the way)

I just have a list my dr gave me with all my other info and it says which meds are safe to take if absolutely necessary.
I would call the dr if you're not sure, but I think tylenol cold would be okay. And as someone else said, most dr's approve robitussin dm, although that's more for cough and chest congestion, so it depends on your symptoms.

I was all ready to take some and went to find ours expired last month. Back to the drugstore! It's okay. I'm out of tissues anyway. Again. :grr:

Just checked my sucrets-- they are 3 mg dyclonine hydrochloride and 6 mg menthol... so probably any comparable lozenge would be okay? I'm not sure what's in ricola.

I'm copying out the lit of meds that my OB has given me as safe to use during pregnancy:

Tylenol
Robitussin
Sudafed
Contact
Theraflu
Lonzenges
Cepacol
Chloraseptic
Colace
Tums
Rolaids
Kaopectate
Maalox
Mylanta
Preparation H
Anusol

My doctor said that any products made by Tylenol are OK to use. I would just say use them in moderation (they dont like to tell you this , but Tylenol is one of the things that are known to cause liver and kidney damage if taken too much.)
