We had an appointment with Millie's consultant today. Generally it went well, and she seemed pleased with her development, will continue to monitor her speech and language development with the S&L therapist as we have not had a "mummy" or "daddy" yet and she is not much of a babbler.
I pointed out Millie has "little boobies" and she said it is a condition called isolated premature therlache, where the breasts develop to the therlache stage, (we might call them breast buds). She does not appear to have any other symptoms, so hopefully she will not enter precocious puberty, but we have to just keep an eye on her for any other symptoms, she seemed to think this was very unlikely though. Of course I have googled both conditions (I know I should know better) and feel a little bit 'down' about it
Also, she usually sees Millie at 6 month intervals, but she wants to see her again in four months, which leads me to believe that there is someting she is a little concerned about!
