We had an appointment with Millie's consultant today. Generally it went well, and she seemed pleased with her development, will continue to monitor her speech and language development with the S&L therapist as we have not had a "mummy" or "daddy" yet and she is not much of a babbler.

I pointed out Millie has "little boobies" and she said it is a condition called isolated premature therlache, where the breasts develop to the therlache stage, (we might call them breast buds). She does not appear to have any other symptoms, so hopefully she will not enter precocious puberty, but we have to just keep an eye on her for any other symptoms, she seemed to think this was very unlikely though. Of course I have googled both conditions (I know I should know better) and feel a little bit 'down' about it :growlmad:

Also, she usually sees Millie at 6 month intervals, but she wants to see her again in four months, which leads me to believe that there is someting she is a little concerned about!

I've not heard of that before, step away from Google though! I'm sure you'll be signed off from consultant care before you know it.

Thankyou! I have resolved to google the subject no more!

I'm very poor at following my own advice though :winkwink:

We're getting signed off from the paediatrician after our next visit in June, so at 22 months of age.

Bloody Google, it's brilliant, but soooo hard not to be tempted, even though you KNOW it will only tell you doom and gloom!! It's like a compulsion!

Not long 'til you're signed off, freeeeeeeeedom!!!
